Are you a passionate and driven HR professional looking for an exciting new challenge? We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join our dynamic Clinical School HR Team at the University of Cambridge.

About Us:

The Clinical School HR Team offers expert HR services, including Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), Employee Relations, Recruitment, and Clinical HR support, tailored for all departments, institutes, and units within the School of Clinical Medicine (SCM). We also extend our services to select areas within the School of Biological Sciences. Located at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, we're ideally positioned to serve our clients and customers closely and effectively. This also a dynamic time to join our team, we're undertaking key projects, including the development of a new Children's Hospital, a Cancer Research Hospital, and various Global Health initiatives.

About the Role:

As an HR Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering efficient and high-quality HR services across the School of Clinical Medicine. Your responsibilities will include providing first-line HR advice, supporting departmental HR processes, and managing various HR, EDI, and Wellbeing projects. You'll also offer training, advisory, and administrative support to staff and managers, ensuring all activities align with University policies and best practices.

In this role, you will contribute to creating an inclusive and positive work environment by promoting HR initiatives, organising events, and maintaining our HR web pages and social media presence. You'll also assist in large-scale change programs, handle HR administration tasks, support workforce planning efforts, and aid in reward, recognition, and career development initiatives. You'll be collaborating with the HR Business Partnering Team, participating in recruitment processes, and representing the SCM HR team in various meetings and projects will be key aspects of your role.

  • This position requires independent work and excellent organisational skills.
  • A solid background in general HR, with experience handling a range of queries.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and high-quality work.
  • An understanding of and commitment to EDI principles, ensuring that these are embedded in all aspects of your work.
  • Ability to manage your own workload, delegate tasks as necessary, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
