Technical Strategy & Operations

This new full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term, term-time only basis for one year from contract commencement. The post is term-time only, so salary will be pro-rata to 46 weeks.

Summary of the role:

The primary function of this role is to provide technical support for the teaching activities of the Medical School, within the Clinical Skills Resource Centre (CSRC) and Life Sciences Resource Centre (LSRC) at the Knowledge Spa on the Royal Cornwall Hospital site. At times, there will be a requirement to support practical exams at the Penryn Campus. The role holder will work closely with teaching staff and the Clinical Skills Technical Manager to deliver hands-on support for the practical skills-based learning and exams of undergraduate students within the CSRC and LSRC. The role holder will work in a team including other members of Technical Strategy and Operations in delivering a safe and efficient working environment for the teaching of undergraduate students.

Organisational context:

The Research Services Division is a key enabler to the delivery of the University’s Strategy 2030, the Research and Impact Strategy, successful REF performances, and meeting research income targets. This role is within the Technical Strategy & Operations part of the Division. We are research and teaching technical staff across the entirety of the University of Exeter. We work in specialist areas across the University and beyond, undertaking and supporting research and teaching and promoting compliance and best practice, in the labs, studios, workshops, and field.
