Do you enjoy ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes? We are looking for a superstar Teaching Space Assistant to join our friendly team!

This is your chance to:

  • Become a frontline troubleshooter: Conduct regular equipment checks in lecture theatres, seminar rooms and computer labs across campus, fixing minor issues and reporting potential problems for a swift resolution. Be the hero who keeps the learning environment running flawlessly!
  • Assist with setting up new computers and laptops, ensuring workstations have all the necessary peripherals, and keeping student printers stocked and jam-free. Your technical skills will be put to the test in a rewarding way!
  • Embrace a collaborative spirit: Work alongside other IT teams, assisting with equipment loans, deliveries, and the Creative Media Service. Your teamwork and communication skills will shine in a supportive environment.
  • Make a difference: Your proactive approach will ensure a smooth learning experience for students and staff. You will be directly contributing to a positive and productive educational environment!

This is a perfect role for you if you have:

  • A good general education (GCSE Maths & English or equivalent) and a keen eye for detail.
  • A helpful and diplomatic personality, especially when dealing with diverse users.
  • Experience using various technologies like Windows, Mac, and Google products.
  • The ability to thrive in a busy environment and manage conflicting priorities.
  • A passion for learning and adapting your skills to new situations.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting is a plus!

Within Teaching Technology, Media and Event Support we are responsible for the following teams: Audio Visual Support, Audio Visual Installations, Specialist Support teams and the Creative Media Service. This role will sit within the Audio-Visual Support team which primarily looks after the AV technology across all the teaching spaces across our campus.
