Post Summary
Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin (TCD) and Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) seek to appoint an Associate Professor of Vascular Neurology / Consultant Neurologist. The post will be a 50:50 clinical academic contract based at Tallaght University Hospital (18.5 hours), and Trinity College Dublin (18.5 hours).
The appointee will be expected to lead a research programme in the field of vascular neurology. They will assume responsibility for initiating and facilitating proposals for funding both at a national and international level and will foster the establishment of dedicated research units within the overall framework of School research policy and the research strategies of the associated hospitals.
The appointee will build on the Discipline’s education and research capacity and form partnerships with colleagues within and beyond the College and the Hospitals. The appointee will work with the Chair of Medicine and the Head of Discipline in formulating and implementing a Departmental/Discipline development strategy to meet the requirements of College and the hospitals, and to deliver excellence in service, education and research into the future.
