About the School
The School of Health and Social Care has an excellent reputation for teaching and research in health and social care. It is at the forefront of preparing people to solve real-life issues in health and society, offering courses and research that both commissioners and employers believe in.
The School is currently going through exciting changes and expansion, with an increase in student numbers, with the introduction of new courses at our Southend Campus, including the new CertHE H&SC and Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship.
Duties of the Role
The post-holder is expected to engage effectively in substantive teaching and learning support roles and develop a broad understanding of how such activities support student learning.
In addition, they will also be expected to design, plan and deliver learning (modules, programmes of study, etc.) in creative and innovative ways appropriate to the subject area and level, taking into account departmental action planning and priorities.

Qualifications and Skills required
For the grade 8 post - The successful candidate will hold a relevant postgraduate degree in health and social care or possess equivalent professional or practice experience in a clinical area. You will be required to have proven experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, or demonstrable potential to achieve this, as well experience of developing effective learning environments.
For the grade 9 post - The successful candidate will hold a relevant masters degree in health and social care or possess equivalent professional or practice experience in a clinical area. You will be required to have substantial experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, or demonstrable potential to engage in teaching and learning support in engaging and innovative ways.
