Faculty / Directorate
Library and Student Services is a large directorate offering a broad range of support to our students, staff and visitors. The faculty includes: The Careers Team, Library Services, Student Welfare, and Global Team. This is an exciting time to join the directorate as we continue to develop our services to continuously improve the student experience here at DMU.
Role
The post holder will work closely with employers to promote the University and its students and graduates as well as develop relationships and assist with the smooth running of events and ensuring a professional, efficient and friendly service to our various stakeholders.
As part of the Careers Team, the Employer Engagement Officer will help to organise on-campus events including the main annual recruitment fairs, skill sessions and other employer-led sessions presentations. Ensuring the Careers Team is considered to be professional, efficient and friendly is a crucial part of the Officer role.
The Officer will be the main point of contact for employers through email, telephone calls or via the career management system software. The Officer will supervise and work closely with the Employer Engagement Coordinator to support access and training with the career management system, the Employer Engagement Strategy and Account Management best-practice.
This role will report to the Employer Engagement Manager and is a key role responsible for providing support to employers, and undertaking a range of strategic work related to employer engagement activities.
Ideal Candidate
The ability to build rapport and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders is vital in this role, this person will be required to work with external organisations to support their needs and requirements whilst identifying and generating new leads to support internal institutional objectives. It would be of great benefit for this person to have experience in organising and leading on events of varying size that include a variety of stakeholders.
