Home to four specialist schools: Allied Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, and Leicester School of Pharmacy, the faculty educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society. The Leicester School of Pharmacy has an excellent reputation for the delivery of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and makes a substantial contribution to the research activities of the faculty.
The Pharmaceutics team within the Leicester School of Pharmacy support several programmes including our MPharm, BSc Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science, M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Quality by Design and our newly validated M.Sc. Cosmetic Science. Our research group is also very strong, with significant grant funding and an excellent publication profile.
Role
As part of the continuing development and expansion of the School we have a vacancy for two highly motivated lecturers in Cosmetic Science. You will join an enthusiastic team working in modern teaching and research facilities. You will be a key part of the team and will be responsible for the delivery of teaching as well as engaging in research and contributing to ongoing programme development.
Ideal Candidate
You will have a BSc and PhD in formulation and manufacturing of cosmetic products or a closely related area. You will be expected to contribute to research and external income generation within the Faculty and produce publications in a relevant area. Experience of teaching at HE level is desirable, but not essential for this role. We also place high value on contributions to academic citizenship activity in the School.
