The School of History, Archaeology and Religion wishes to appoint a Lecturer with expertise in the field of modern European history, with particular focus on Jewish history. This fixed-term role will contribute to modern history teaching on the BA and MA History degree programmes. A key responsibility of this role will be the delivery of a new third-year module on ‘Jews, Europe and the World’. The role will also include some teaching on other aspects of the programmes, including contributions to core modules at first- and second-year level, teaching of historiography, and some supervision of individual student projects.
You will be joining a dynamic and friendly department of historians, teaching across a wide range of time periods and geographical areas, with a lively research culture, and an active commitment to civic mission and public engagement.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), is fixed term for 10 months and is immediately available.
