Under the direction of the University's Student Recruitment Regional Outreach Team Leader, you will contribute to the delivery of a customer focused, cost effective and efficient outreach service aligned to the south and southeast regional objectives. In addition, you will support operational project delivery of the University's strategic Access and Participation Plan.

You will lead, develop and maintain a defined area of expertise in the designated region for outreach, student recruitment events and access to higher education outreach interventions. You will oversee the operational delivery of a programme of activities within regional schools, colleges and other organisations, both on and off campus and virtually to attract UK students to Plymouth.

You will respond to enquiries assisting potential students and those who influence them in making a well-informed choice of University and programme. You will liaise with colleagues across the Faculty and wider University and build relationships with external stakeholders primarily Teachers, Career Advisers, Parents and Supporters.

You must have essential experience which includes: 

Experience:

  • Working in a customer service environment
  • Office administration
  • Planning and organising
  • Event Management

Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including presentational skills
  • Placing a continuous emphasis on internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Data reporting and analysis

This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus a Children’s Barred List and Adults Barred List check.

There is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other business locations that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Please refer to the job description for further information.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37 hours a week.

Remote working is available up to 1 day a week.
