About The Role
The Bartlett School of Architecture is seeking to appoint a part-time Lecturer (Teaching) position in (Cinematic and Videogame Architecture March programme) on a 0.2 FTE
The Cinematic and Videogame Architecture MArch is a cutting-edge new programme based at UCL East, where students work at the convergence of architecture, film and videogames to develop radical new time-based, immersive and interactive design projects.
This role will involve delivering workshops and seminars on both the Cinematic and Videogame Skills I (BARC0202) and Cinematic and Videogame Skills II (BARC0203) modules, demonstrating advanced software techniques in Unreal Engine.
The role requires an advanced knowledge of Unreal Engine and knowledge of other software skills and techniques, and a track record of using advanced digital techniques in industry and/or education.
The role will include acting as first marker for Skills Portfolio submissions on BARC0202 & BARC0203 modules, and assisting the Module Coordinator with inductions and module introductions.
The role will also involve close collaboration with the Skills Module Coordinator and other Skills and Design Tutors to develop advanced new design workflows for teaching using game engine software in combination with other creative software and practical techniques (i.e. virtual production, digital animation, simulation).

About You
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of skills instruction on architecture and digital design techniques at the highest level. They should provide proof of their experience instructing architecture to graduate students, with an emphasis on promoting innovative teaching strategies that have improved student learning. They should demonstrate a high level of knowledge in Unreal Engine, alongside a knowledge of other relevant creative design software, and the application of this knowledge in an industry or educational setting.
