As part of planned expansion of the Division of Nursing, we are looking to recruit an NMC Level One Registered Nurse who holds a Community Nursing Specialist Practice Qualification with experience of community nursing, leadership and who has a passion for teaching. The applicant will also have experience of nurse prescribing in a community context.

We seek individuals with the vision, commitment and academic ambition to contribute to the development and delivery of the nursing programmes. You will have the opportunity to develop innovative teaching strategies to engender effective student engagement. You will deliver teaching in a classroom and be involved in simulation-based and virtual learning settings. You will also support students in practice, work within a team, communicate effectively and work flexibly to meet deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Level One Registered Nurse on Part 3 of the register (NMC UK) to be part of the innovative and supportive nursing programmes, focusing on the educational needs of students to meet the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan.

There are three types of contract at Brunel University London: Teaching & Research; Education and Professional Practice. This post is for a Lecturer (Education); the post is for clinicians who want to make a move to academia. You will be responsible for teaching across a range of modules and will also be expected to engage in educational/pedagogical projects and research.

An essential requirement is for the successful applicant to satisfy the requirements of checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
