About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Front-end Web Developer to join the Web Team within the Communications Department at Queen Mary. The Senior Front-end Web Developer will work closely with the Head of Web Development to understand and plan for strategic institutional and team goals. This role is responsible for leading the technical and user interface (UI) development, and maintenance of Queen Mary’s website and related web microsites and digital applications. You will manage web development work from conception to delivery, ensuring we meet best practice and accessibility standards. The role will support the university in achieving student recruitment and marketing goals.
Your responsibilities will include managing the Web Developer, front-end development of the Queen Mary website, collaborating with internal stakeholders to create new functionality, and supporting various digital applications. You'll work with the University's core content management system, Terminalfour (T4), and contribute to major projects within the Queen Mary web team and the External Relations Directorate.

Our directorate is responsible for raising the awareness and reputation of Queen Mary among its target audiences, and for increasing the quality and quantity of Queen Mary applicants. We collaborate with stakeholders, we support staff, students and prospective students to achieve more.
