About the Role
The purpose of the role is to support the Recruitment and WP team in delivering the University’s 2030 Strategy, with a focus on the relevant recruitment and WP objectives. The Student Recruitment and WP Officer will work closely with the Deputy Head of Student Recruitment and WP to deliver activity across the University’s sponsored Multi-Academy Trusts, and to support delivery associated within our Access and Participation Plan.
The post holder will be pivotal in the continued development of relationships with stakeholders across the Multi-Academy Trusts, as well as supporting partnerships with key delivery organisations to support strategic objectives. The post holder will also work with the wider team and Queen Mary’s Student Ambassadors to deliver outreach in a wider pool of schools and colleges, as well as support the delivery of key recruitment and activities, including Open Days and Offer Holder Days.
About You
The postholder will be passionate about supporting young people to understand the options available to them through the delivery of outreach in schools and colleges. They will enjoy organising events, working with young people and their key influencers, and be keen to engage with a role that involves travel around Greater London and beyond.
About the Department
This role is part of the Recruitment and Widening Participation team, under the broader Marketing and Widening Participation function. This function is responsible for promoting Queen Mary’s profile and its educational programmes, as well as attracting and recruiting a diverse range of students. This includes those from widening participation (WP) backgrounds, as well as students from across the UK, the EU, and overseas.
The Recruitment and Widening Participation team focuses on recruitment across the UK, including the recruitment of students under-represented at Queen Mary.
