You will provide practical and operational support to the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment (ECE), mainly in Electronics and Robotics, in support of teaching, projects, research and consultancy. You will also support the organisation, co-ordination and supervision of a range of specialist technical functions and operations.
The role will be responsible for organising, coordinating and supervising the use of equipment in the Electronics and Robotics laboratory with regards to day-to-day use, operation, servicing, maintenance, testing and the monitoring of safety requirements.
The role will also be responsible for reviewing practices and processes and recommending improvements. Providing practical support and assistance to students and staff. you will train/instruct/demonstrate to students, researchers, and academics and support staff on all aspects of the relevant automotive equipment, including its use, application, theory and relevant techniques.
The Person
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and good organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload.
You will be able to work as an individual or as a team member and have the ability to make and maintain accurate records. You will also possess a reasonable level of IT skills and have good analytical and problem solving skills.
