The Role
We are looking for an outstanding senior lecturer to provide inspirational leadership and practical management of our degree apprenticeship portfolio. The successful candidate will have a record of skills, knowledge, and experience in Degree Apprenticeships.
This is a part-time role, initially on a fixed-term contract of the four years. You’ll join a close-knit group of academics who run and deliver on a varied programme of research-led teaching sessions, workshops, seminars, and practitioner experiences.
You will manage the portfolio of Degree Apprenticeships starting with the Retail Leadership Degree Apprenticeship. You will plan, deliver, and assess a range of contemporary modules depending on your experience and knowledge and be expected to expand the portfolio over the 4-year contract.
The Person
The Person appointed will make a significant contribution to the development of the apprenticeship portfolio as well as being directly engaged with its course development and lecturing activities. As such, they should have good leadership qualities and skills, and be able to communicate and work effectively with other academics and employers.
You will hold a Master’s level qualification and have a track record of industry relevant experience. If you haven’t already achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition, you will be required to do so before the end of your probation period.
On a personal level, going above and beyond to deliver exceptional leadership, teaching and support to our students will be your core motivation. Experience of either apprenticeships and/or retail knowledge will be an advantage.
Constantly seeking to improve, you’ll scrutinise your own work, build private and public sector networks, and work collaboratively to enhance the faculty’s reputation in higher education and apprenticeship circles.
