Lincoln College invites applications for a 3-hour Stipendiary Lectureship in Physics, starting 1 September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter, to cover short-term teaching needs in the subject. The post is available from 1 September 2024 until 31 August 2025 and is not renewable. The successful candidate will be expected to teach an average of 3 hours per week.
The lecturer will be ideally expected to teach the topics: 2nd year A2 Electromagnetism and Optics, and 3rd year B4 Particle Physics, however applicants who could offer other topics from the 2nd and 3rd year Physics curriculum would also be considered. Applicants should indicate which courses they would be able to offer. Applicants will have, or will be in the final stages of completing a doctorate in Physics, and will be likely to have teaching experience, at undergraduate level, in Physics.
The salary offered is in the range £7,622-£8,492 per annum (25% of National Scale Points 23- 27, pro-rated for appointments of less than a year).
