The opportunity
We are currently seeking a Student Funding Manager to oversee the administration and allocation of funds provided by government agencies and the University.
The Student Funding Service at University of the Arts London (UAL) is an integral part of Student Services, contributing significantly to the overall student journey and experience. We aim to improve the student experience by providing professional expertise and support in areas managed by the Student Funding Service.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the University Hardship Fund and other discretionary funds. This includes ensuring applications are processed accurately and promptly, as well as overseeing the Student Funding Administrators who handle these applications.
About you
To excel in this role, you must have extensive experience working in Higher Education Funding Administration. Proficiency in using Student Record Systems, particularly SITS, is essential. You should have a track record of adapting services, processes, and systems to meet customer needs and improve standards. Please note, applications will only be considered if SITS experience is clearly demonstrated.
Additionally, you should have experience in managing teams, with proven skills in delegating tasks effectively, monitoring progress through appraisals and probation, and addressing any arising challenges.
