The Research Associate will support Professor Saska Petrova in delivering the project’s objectives outlined above. The primary task of the Research Associate will be to plan and carry out research, using appropriate methodology and techniques. The Research Associate will also contribute towards the dissemination and development of research findings, which involves writing papers and press releases, updating a dynamic website, organising workshops and conferences, as well as future funding applications as appropriate. The Research Associate will be expected to publish work in relation to the research together with the project leader and other members of the research team. They will also be able to grow their career independently through specialised training and professional development opportunities. The Research Associate will be based in Geography within the School of Environment and Development and will contribute to the activities of the Society and Environment research group.
The appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a twelve-month probation period and may be extended in case of successful future bids for other types of funding from commercial sponsors and research grants.
