About the Role

As a Timetabler, you will be responsible for creating and managing the academic timetable for our campus, ensuring that room utilisation, teaching schedules, and student experiences are seamlessly aligned. This role is crucial in supporting the academic framework of our institution and requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate: Work closely with all on-campus and central academic teams to ensure the timetable reflects their specific needs and priorities.
  • Manage Facilities: Keep facilities information up-to-date to enable effective room allocation and utilisation.
  • Resource Planning: Oversee all aspects of resource planning, including venues, rooms, and staff, while resolving any conflicts that arise.
  • Individual Timetables: Ensure all students receive an individualised timetable promptly.
  • Monitor and Record: Maintain accurate timetabling information on our central platform CELCAT.
  • Problem-Solve: Address and resolve any timetabling issues or adjustments, such as rescheduling classes and arranging lecturer substitutions.
  • Coordinate Bookings: In collaboration with the Building and Technical Team, manage the process for students booking resources and spaces.
  • Exam Scheduling: Coordinate the timetabling of exams and assessments.

What You'll Bring:

  • Substantial experience in a Senior Administration and/or Timetabling role involving complex resource allocation.
  • Exceptional levels of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of timetabling.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Methodical and logical approach to planning and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams.
  • IT skills for managing timetabling software and platforms.

This is a part time role based on working 18.75 hours per week.
