We are looking for an SpLD Tutor to join our Disability & Dyslexia Team. The Service contributes to key strategic aims such as retention, achievement, and satisfaction by providing expert advice and support and by assessing and arranging adjustments to enable students to participate fully in academic life and meet their full potential. 

The role of the SpLD Tutor is to provide specialist 1:1 study skills tuition and support for students diagnosed with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD), which may include Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Dyscalculia, in addition to other possible disabilities, such as Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). 

In addition, the SpLD Tutor will have good working knowledge of adult SpLD screening tools and the ability to make independent decisions about the referral routes to formal diagnostic assessments and/or additional medical professionals. 

We are looking for someone with the relevant SpLD qualifications and experience with a commitment to work as part of a multi-disciplinary, in-house team. Above all, you will need the passion and enthusiasm to enable growth, development, and independent learning in our neurodiverse students alongside a willingness to participate in your own regular professional development.
