We are looking for an Associate Tutor to join Birkbeck, University of London, within the School of Psychological Sciences, Faculty of Science.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the tutorial team on the Psychology Certificate of Higher Education, Accelerated Foundation Year, and BA programme.
Your role will be to support tutorials and seminars, in order to enable students to complete their studies successfully and undertake related course administrative duties as required. Your main responsibility will be assisting running several study skills focused seminar, and provide feedback on formative assessment tasks.
The seminars run from 1-3pm on three Saturdays in the Autumn term (5 October, 26 October, & 30 November 2024) and two Saturdays in the Spring term (18 January & 8 February 2025), and one Saturday in the Summer term, 21 June 2025.

Remuneration
Starting rate £58.48 per hour, inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay, for contact hours worked. (Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College).
Hourly rate is based on starting point of Grade 6 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ which covers preparation, teaching and administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
