We are looking for an exceptional and proactive individual to join our HertSquad team in delivering our highly successful Club Sport Compete programme. The post offers a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to develop professionally and demonstrate direct impact on the student experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. 

Main duties and responsibilities

You will have responsibility for coordinating and delivering a comprehensive programme of on campus competitive sport and participation for the benefit of university students as part of the Club Sport Compete programme. 

You will be required to work collaboratively with key staff and departments across the University to ensure the Club Sport Compete programme is embedded into the student experience and offers excellent engagement opportunities. In addition, you will provide support to student club committees, officials and Activators in a friendly and professional manner. 

Skills and experience required

You will have experience of working in Sports Development and/or the Sports Industry and be able to demonstrate an insight-led approach to assist in the development of successful initiatives. You will have experience in organising and delivering sports development activities and programmes and have experience of leading others including peers, coaches and/or volunteers. 

You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised, work well under pressure and be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy and vibrant environment. 

Qualifications required

You will be educated with a minimum of degree level, or equivalent qualification, or proven professional experience
