The Careers and Employment Service are seeking a proactive candidate to join our team to develop and administer our student Herts Award. We are a friendly, positive team focused on student outcomes and creating opportunities for all. Main duties and responsibilities
The role will be responsible for the development, delivery, administration, and evaluation of the Herts Award for University of Hertfordshire students. The award gives recognition to the extra activities students engage in during their time at university and highlights their value to employers through the award. The post holder will lead on design, management, communication, and marketing of the award with relevant staff, employers, and students.
The post holder will be responsible for the design, delivery, evaluation, and management of the Herts Award and will set up systems and processes to deliver, maintain, evaluate and enhance the quality of the award. Creation of relevant materials including the development and maintenance of appropriate online tools and resources will also be a requirement.
An important part of this role will be to work with a wide range of colleagues in the coordination of the award and this will include meetings and promotion to proactively publicise the scheme, both to university staff and external organisations. Part of the promotion will be to deliver a series of activities around the Herts Award to engage students, alongside liaising with Hertfordshire Students’ Union in encouraging student engagement activities that lead to the Herts Award.
Skills and experience required
Candidates for this role will be experienced in establishing and supporting effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and will be used to working within a customer facing environment. It is important that applicants have experience of working to and delivering on relevant objectives related to a project or task and have an effective ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. Strong communication and presentation skills are a requirement for this post, alongside the ability to work independently and creatively on tasks.
Qualifications required
Educated with a minimum of a degree or equivalent level qualification, or proven relevant professional experience.
