Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional and eager to shape the future of health and well-being? The University of Oxford's Medical Sciences Division is seeking a visionary Divisional Safety Lead to spearhead our evolving safety system. This is a new leadership role which is key to delivering the Division’s commitment to excellence in health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: As the Divisional Safety Lead, you'll be at the forefront of driving safety culture and compliance across the    Division. Your innovative ideas will shape policies, practices, and risk management strategies. You will work closely with our new Safety Risk Management Group, implementing assurance processes to support the Head of Division’s accountability in this area.
  • Collaboration: Operating in a devolved environment, you will work closely with academic and research staff, as well as central and  departmental Safety teams, fostering a collaborative environment where safety is everyone's priority.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver engaging training sessions, empowering our community to champion safety.
  • Team Management: Lead a dynamic team of safety officers, nurturing their growth and ensuring impactful contributions.
