About the role
The Academic Quality and Standards Officer supports programme and module approval, monitoring and review for the faculty to which they are assigned. The role provides functional leadership and underpins academic standards and quality assurance support mechanisms for the faculty, working to identify and act on issues that might have a wider impact for Queen Mary. Based in the Directorate of Governance and Legal Services, the post holder works collaboratively with colleagues in the Directorate, the faculty Dean for Education’s team, and across the University.
About you
The successful candidate should have an undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) and relevant experience in the management of quality assurance and academic standards in a higher education environment. You should have considerable knowledge and understanding of external regulatory frameworks relating to academic quality and standards, and proven experience in the management and development of policies and procedures in an educational setting, with exceptional attention to detail. You will also have experience of managing committee work at a senior level, proven communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, with willingness to support the broader activities of the University.
