About the Role
You will be responsible for supporting trial teams and collaborators by providing specialist advice on data management and optimizing use of electronic health data sets and records for the development of grant application and throughout successfully funded projects. You will adapt existing methods and develop new approaches for the management and manipulation of large and complex relational datasets. The role will also involve developing standardized data management processes through key study documents such as data management plans and SOPs.
About You
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree and/or relevant experience for this role. They will have experience of data management of large scale datasets and relational databases, preferably in a healthcare setting and/or other electronic medical records. They will have experience in design and development of databases using electronic data capture systems, experience of preparing data management plans and other study documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine.
The post-holder will work with the Barts Clinical Trials Unit in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM) and will contribute to the ACT programme (Advancing substantial improvements in health through optimally design Clinical Trials) which provides infrastructure for development and delivery of trials across the Barts CTU and the wider Centre.
