We are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Statistics with experience of conducting research in primary care/public health and clinical trials, and of developing and delivering teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The Department of Primary Care and Public Health (PCPH) conducts research across the themes of Marginalised & Coastal Community Health, Health Data Science and Public Health Psychology & Prevention and delivers teaching and training in general practice, public health and research methods.
The UK Clinical Research Collaboration-registered Brighton and Sussex Clinical Trials Unit, co-located with PCPH, conducts trials and other well-designed studies across a broad range of specialties, designs and interventions (e.g. drug and device trials, psychological interventions)
You will join a small team of statisticians and spend 50% FTE working on two exciting new trials funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research, Public Health Research funding stream, one in the mental health of young women living in deprived coastal areas and the other in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections in young adults.
