Starting salary from £25,138 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £28,759 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sainsbury Centre Visitor Experience Team who are looking to recruit two Visitor Experience Managers. These two roles have shared operational responsibility across all aspects of visitor experience within the Sainsbury Centre, ensuring a high level of customer service that delivers exceptional visitor experiences.

Working very closely with the Head of Visitor Operations and often with other departments (including Hospitality/Events, Marketing, Security and Learning), this varied and engaging role supports delivery across front of house, retail, events, memberships, tours and group bookings.

The posts develop, manage, and oversee the day-to-day operations and commercial activity across Visitor Experience, including support for the on-gallery Visitor Experience Assistants and Supervisors during opening hours, weekends, and bank holidays. Weekend supervisory cover will be required (currently a minimum of 1 weekend in 4), and some out of hours/evening work may also be needed.

This role is ideal for those candidates who relish developing and managing administration processes, procedures and quality standards to ensure our visitors receive consistent and exceptional customer care and visitor experience. You will have front of house delivery experience gained in an arts, leisure or cultural environment, along with strong administration and financial skills. Knowledge and/or experience of the retail sector (including sourcing, purchasing, stock management, point of display), ticketing systems/EPOS, or team management would be beneficial.

An appreciation or general understanding of art, design, architecture, and the visual arts would be advantageous.

These full-time posts are available on an indefinite basis.

Further information on our great benefits package, including 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.

Closing date: 21 July 2024

The University holds an Athena Swan Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality.
