An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced governance professional to join the Governance Team at the University of Bradford.
Reporting to the Head of Governance, the Governance and Projects Officer will provide an innovative, high quality and professional governance service, supporting the maintenance of an efficient and effective governance framework at the University.
The Officer will have responsibility for a portfolio of senior University committees and will be expected to deliver high-quality support and advice, liaising closely with University senior managers and members of Council and Senate. The role also includes responsibility for implementing best practice governance arrangements and undertaking specific governance-related projects to enhance governance practice across the University.
Candidates are expected to be highly motivated, have a ‘can do’ attitude, and be flexible and resourceful. They will possess excellent administrative, communication and organisational abilities, with a strong capacity to learn and grow their skills further. The role is detailed and high pressured at times, and so the successful candidate should also have meticulous attention to detail, as well as the ability to organise their work independently to meet competing deadlines.
The University is an exciting place to work, transforming the lives of students into tomorrow’s professionals. It offers an attractive rewards and benefits package including a competitive salary, opportunities to work flexibly where University committee arrangements permit, excellent contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement. Salary sacrifice, childcare vouchers schemes, well-being and lifestyle initiatives and discounts at popular retailers are also available, including access to the University's onsite leisure facilities, library, and nursery.
Informal enquires prior to application are welcome. Please contact j.holgate@bradford.ac.uk to discuss the role further.
