Salary: £37,099 to £44,263 per annum, pro rata if part time

About the Role:

  • Champion Funding Opportunities: Your role involves promoting and supporting funding applications. You’ll be the bridge between brilliant academics and exciting funding prospects.
  • Strategic Impact: Collaborate with Schools to develop and implement robust research and knowledge exchange strategies.
  • Bid DevelopmentProvide guidance and advice on proposal planning, including intricate budgeting, to a wide range of funders.
  • Policy Expertise: Become the go-to person for funder policies and rules.
  • Award Negotiations: Review award terms and support contract negotiations. Your attention to detail matters.
  • Training and Support: We recognize that diverse backgrounds bring unique perspectives. If you have the right transferable skills, we’ll provide tailored training to help you thrive in this role.
  • Team Player: Manage direct reports and collaborate with colleagues to deliver first-rate professional services.

About You:

  • Qualifications: A degree or equivalent experience is essential. Experience in preparing funding bids, especially project costing, is a plus.
  • Research Funding Savvy: You understand the dynamic research funding landscape and can navigate it confidently.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Your ability to communicate effectively with academic staff and external funders sets you apart.
