The newly established Oxford-Hyundai Motor Group Foresight Centre is a cutting-edge research centre at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. Focusing on strategic foresight in industry, society and geopolitics, the Centre aims to contribute significantly to both academic scholarship and practical applications in futures planning. The Centre Manager plays a pivotal leadership role at the Centre, overseeing daily operations, managing relationships with key research sponsors and producing regular activity reports. The Centre Manager also governs the Centre as Secretary to its Steering Committee, coordinates activities for researchers and manages the Centre Assistant.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee administrative operations, including staff, budget, reporting and communications.
  • Develop relationships with visiting researchers, executives and funders.
  • Plan the Centre’s portfolio of events and programme activities.
  • Manage the Centre’s funding, including expenditures and budget forecasts.
  • Liaise with the School’s HR team on personnel matters.

You will have significant experience in management roles within large, complex organisations or client-facing environments. You should have a proven track record of organising successful events, making evidence-based decisions and managing personnel. Additionally, experience in preparing and managing significant financial budgets (over £5M) and attention to detail in financial matters are essential.
