SALARY & HOURS: starting from £13,974 per annum. 35 hours a week, Mon - Fri 9am-5pm

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Apprentice to provide administrative support to our busy and friendly School of Computing. The School provides essential services for its students and staff, and our Apprentice will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the following areas:

  • Support administration for the taught Apprenticeship programme inclusive of scheduling on line teaching, diary management for our learning and development coach and mark entry
  • Support administration for our Partnership programme in China scheduling online teaching sessions, mark entry and organising travel arrangements.
  • Marketing events - venue management and organisation
  • Meeting Organisation and Meeting note taking
  • Coordination of Research Talks with guest speakers and industry leaders
  • Coordination of inductions and on campus events for the school

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, able to work both independently and collaboratively, and keen to learn. You will need to be conscientious and well organised in order to manage a varied workload of administrative responsibilities while completing a Business Administration Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship (equivalent to 2 A levels). Your Apprenticeship training will be undertaken together with our other Apprentices and delivered by our Apprenticeships Manager, so there will be lots of support available.

This is a full-time role, ideally starting in August/September 2024, and initially employed on an 18-month fixed term contract, based at the University’s Buckingham campus. Your qualifications must include Maths and English GCSE Grade A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent).
