About the role
The Department of Wellbeing, Therapeutic and Residential Life Services is seeking to appoint a Student Wellbeing Officer to work within the Wellbeing team. Student Wellbeing is now an integral part of a larger team which encompasses both the University Therapeutic service, Residential life and Chaplaincy – all of which are critical to a positive student experience.
The Student Wellbeing Officer will play a key role in promoting and supporting the mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing of our students through the development and delivery of targeted wellbeing projects, events and workshops. The role includes promoting awareness and understanding of wellbeing issues within the student community, conducting outreach activities to engage students, and assisting in the creation and distribution of wellbeing resources.
This position involves organising and conducting workshops on various topics such as homesickness, exam stress, and transitioning to university life. The Officer will collaborate with academic staff, university therapeutic services, and external organisations to ensure a comprehensive and targeted approach to student support. The Wellbeing Officer will also monitor and assess the effectiveness of wellbeing programs through feedback and data analysis to ensure continuous improvement.
