Job Description
Join our dynamic Assessments team at Bath Spa University as a Senior Assessments Officer, where you'll play a pivotal role in processing the marks and awards for postgraduate students, as well as helping to manage cases of academic misconduct to ensure the University’s academic integrity.
About the Role
This post will take the lead in all assessment activity relating to our postgraduate provision at our Bath-based campuses and our franchised partner institutions. This will include the planning, preparation, implementation and delivery of all processes relating to Central Assessment Boards and results publication.
The post-holder will provide expert advice and feedback on postgraduate assessments processes and student records to colleagues across the University and our franchised and validated partner institutions, including attendance at relevant meetings and committees such as the Academic Misconduct Panel. The post-holder will manage the administrative processes relating to the University's Academic Misconduct Policy and procedures and will provide advice to staff and students.
Additionally, the post-holder will be the line manager of the Assessments and Alumni Records Advisor, with responsibility for the oversight of the work of the Alumni Records Office.
About You
You will have strong administrative skills, showing excellent attention to detail and experience of problem-solving with complex information. You will have previous experience of managing electronic data and relational databases to store and retrieve records, which may include student record systems such as SITS.
You will be able to plan, organise and effectively prioritise your work to meet tight deadlines, whilst being a proactive and enthusiastic member of a team. You will be able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organisation, including external stakeholders. Experience of the Higher Education environment is desirable.
