In this dynamic role, you'll take centre stage in supporting the Heads of HR Business Partnering to shape and align people plans with our faculty strategy. You’ll also embrace the opportunity to lead a variety of cross-faculty projects, driving innovation and excellence across our organisation.

Your expertise in delivering a high-quality, credible, and responsive people management service will be the cornerstone of your success. As you build trusted relationships with stakeholders, you'll work closely with senior managers, empowering them with the confidence and competence to effectively tackle a diverse range of people management issues.

What will you be doing?

  • You'll bring your solutions-focused approach to provide proactive people management advice and support.
  • Your wide-ranging generalist experience will enable you to make a meaningful impact in critical areas like change management, employee relations, reward, recruitment, and management development.
  • You’ll embrace the opportunity to lead and manage complex and escalated case work, offering invaluable advice, guidance, and coaching to university managers and team members.
  • You’ll be a key player in shaping workforce plans and harnessing the power of HR MI data to provide insightful analysis and interpretation.
  • Your expertise will be instrumental in advising on organisational reviews and driving strategic decisions.

You should apply if

  • You have experience of working at an equivalent level or will have demonstrated the potential to do so.
  • You have experience of managing complex people/HR matters, with strong communication skills and an ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships with managers at multiple levels within a complex environment.
  • You have the ability to demonstrate flexibility in your approach, and be happy to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
  • You have a pragmatic and solution focused approach will need to be applied and evidence of this will need to be demonstrated.

This is a hybrid role worked over a minimum of 3 days per week including Wednesday.
