You could become part of a vibrant and diverse community of academics, in the Department of Construction and Engineering Management, within the School of the Built Environment at one of the UK’s top-ranked universities for teaching and research in the Built Environment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic lecturer in the broad area of Quantity Surveying, with further contributions in, for example, financial management or contract law. This is a teaching intensive position that will focus on the design and delivery of taught modules and supervision of student projects. You should be enthusiastic about scholarship in the broadest sense, and ready to engage with the wider academic community in the University and beyond. You should also be able to contribute to the School by demonstrating academic leadership and a willingness to engage in student-focused activities and administrative responsibilities. This post is based at the Whiteknights Campus in Reading, although we are flexible in allowing some remote working.

You will have:

  • A PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in a relevant subject area.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Quantity Surveying.
  • Substantial experience of teaching in a Higher Education context.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • An aptitude for academic leadership.
