Job Summary - South Hams District Council are looking for a recent graduate who can support them to promote the awareness and understanding of the South Devon National Landscape (SDNL) among a wide range of audiences, together with organising and assisting with community engagement events. This role will give you direct experience and understanding of a Protected Landscape and access to a range of partners working in the natural environment, heritage, climate, and people engagement sectors. You will also further develop your knowledge and experience of using different social media platforms for business, and how to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership Scheme and offers full-time hours (36.5 hours per week) for 12 months with the potential to extend. You will be employed by the University of Exeter and seconded to South Hams District Council for the duration of the contract which means you can access the befits on offer from both organisations.For more information on the GBP scheme, please visit www.exeter.ac.uk/internships.
About You – You should be a graduate who is enthusiastic, hardworking and enjoys event and project management, marketing, communications, and working with stakeholders. You should be confident, competent, credible when networking and be happy to undertake administrative tasks as an when needed. You should also have the ability to work well as part of a team and have a positive, ‘can do’, proactive attitude to work.
