We are looking for a Research Assistant to support an ethnographic study: From Clinic to Community: Contextualising Head and Neck Cancer Inequalities in Merseyside and Cheshire.
You will have proficiency in anthropological, sociological or geographical approaches to public health, reflecting interests in contemporary health challenges and interdisciplinarity. You should have qualitative interviewing and digital/GIS mapping experience and minimally a masters degree in anthropology, sociology or geography of health. A background in geographies of health is an advantage. You will work as part of a team with two anthropologists: Professor Ciara Kierans (Project PI) and Dr Stephanie Meysner (Project PDRA).
The post is available full time from 1 September 2024 until 31 August 2025.
Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work more than 50% on campus.
