About Us

Atopic dermatitis (AD) stands as the most burdensome skin disease globally, ranking 15th among all non-fatal diseases. Significantly, there exists a knowledge gap regarding the prevalence, incidence, co-morbidities, and risk factors of AD, especially within low-income settings. There is currently no comprehensive atlas resource that systematically consolidates data on AD burden, co-morbidities, and risk factors.

GADA is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the establishment and development of a novel, high profile project working with world-leading experts in the field of atopic dermatitis and allergy, as well as the International League of Dermatological Societies, the International Eczema Council, the International Society for Atopic Dermatitis, Global Skin, and the World Health Organization.

About the role

We are offering an exceptional career opportunity for a Research Fellow with excellent project management skills to help spearhead the Global Atopic Dermatitis Atlas (GADA) project. The post holder will be responsible for co-leading the scientific aspects of the project but also the coordination of the Global Atopic Dermatitis Atlas (GADA) project, together with the GADA Director, and for ensuring delivery of project milestones.

You will be expected to pursue research and managerial activities at the highest level with autonomy in a position of authority with executive instructions on broad overall objectives. You will oversee research of the highest quality that will be disseminated through publication in prestigious journals and presented at international meetings. You will take a proactive role in the strategic and operational development and implementation of the GADA project and will drive forward GADA scientific initiatives and implement strategies to achieve the project’s research objectives and its future funding requirements.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), which will be offered on a fixed term contract until 26th August 2026.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work as part of King’s hybrid working model, where you can work between your home and the office throughout the week. The expectation would be to be present in the office for on average of 4 days a week, which can be negotiated after 3 months. This will also have to be approved by the Line Manager.
