About the role

The postholder will work as part of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) Programme team at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, supporting the academic and clinical requirements of the systemic foundation and intermediate (AFT) pathway.

The programme is accredited for all DClinPsy trainees at Foundation level and has applied for a subset of trainees to be accredited at Intermediate level, who choose to follow this pathway in their final year. The postholder will work closely with the Systemic Lead and Senior Systemic Tutor to ensure AFT standards are met. They will have a core role in contributing to systemic teaching on the DClinPsy Programme (Fridays) and shared teaching sessions with the KCL Family Therapy Grad Cert Course (Wednesdays). They will contribute to curriculum planning and assessment of trainees’ systemic knowledge and competences. They will work closely with other programme team members and placement supervisors to help support systemic placements across local adult and child services. They may be asked to provide additional support and advice to placement supervisors and Family Therapists who are supporting DClinPsy trainees with their systemic experience on placement.

The IoPPN’s clinical psychology training programme has Systemic and Family Therapy as their second key therapeutic modality, and this is an area of growth for the course. The number of trainees hoping to follow the Systemic Intermediate pathway is increasing and this is something we want to encourage and support by strengthening our core systemic and family therapy team.

This is a part time post (7 Hours per week), and you will be offered an a fixed term contract until 05/09/2027.
