Applications are invited for the post of Senior Teaching Fellow in the Centre for the Development of Academic Skills (Cedas) which is a constituent part of the Directorate of Education and Innovation. Please note that this is not a role on the Integrated Foundation Year but a role on the Academic Skills Programme.
This is a fixed-term role from 1/8/24 to 31/7/25 and primarily involves direction of the Academic Skills Programme, including relevant staff. The post will combine the continued provision of academic skills support to one school whilst ensuring the overall alignment of the programme to strategic endeavours by Royal Holloway. This is a senior role which is designed to provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure that all related activity supports delivery of RHUL strategy and delivers associated targets. They will work closely with all academic schools and relevant academic and administrative staff.
The successful candidate will oversee the planning and delivery of high-quality teaching through lectures, workshops, 1:1 tutorials and other relevant modes to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students, both in person and online. They will provide solid developmental support, advising and guiding as needed and employing well-evidenced transition pedagogies to empower students from diverse backgrounds to achieve academically.
The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the university is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
