Applications are invited for the post of Research Excellence Manager at Royal Holloway.

The Research Excellence Manager plays an important role in enhancing Royal Holloway’s reputation as a world-leading research-intensive university. With a focus on the quality, impact and visibility of our research and the environment that supports it, the post holder will work closely with the academic and professional service community to develop and improve the University systems and processes that support research excellence.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Integrity, the post holder will work with Director of Research and Innovation, Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor – Research, and School Vice Deans for Research & Knowledge Exchange to lead the preparation and delivery of the Royal Holloway submission to REF 2029.You will be the contact point for all REF queries on matters relating to REF. You will also be responsible for the analysis of REF performance, both during preparation of the submission and of the results.

In addition, you will support the development of the evidence-base to underpin the University’s research strategy and will be responsible for supporting the systems and data requirements for the University's effective response to research and knowledge exchange related assessment and monitoring exercises.

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with excellent project management and communication skills and a good understanding of the principles of research assessment and related policy areas.
