Post Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to provide academic leadership in industrial pharmacy teaching and research within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the role of Academic Director of the School’s MSc programme in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology (QP programme) and to provide leadership in various current and emerging programmes run by the School, primarily at postgraduate level, relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing and medicines quality, distribution and use. The successful candidate will have academic research interests and leadership qualities which will enable the building of connections between the School, other schools in the College, the pharmaceutical industry, regulators, clinicians and relevant Higher Education Institutions and research performing organisations, both nationally and internationally.
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences runs several successful programmes at the postgraduate level relevant to medicines innovation, quality, medicines manufacture and approval. It is seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to provide academic leadership and visibility in these areas, provide research depth and impact and to coordinate and develop the Schools’ interests related to medicines manufacture and quality leadership.
