Are you a highly skilled safety professional looking to make a significant impact in an innovative academic environment? We have an exciting, newly-created position where you can lead a major project to enhance and expand the culture of safety and risk management within a cutting-edge university department. This full-time role offers the flexibility of working remotely up to one day a week and requires close collaboration with the Division Safety Office under the supervision of the Head of Administration and Finance.
As our new safety leader, you will be working in a laboratory and chemicals-based department, promoting a robust safety culture and facilitating safe, innovative teaching and research across the Department of Materials. You will collaborate closely with academic staff, offering expert support, advice, and training in all areas of health and safety. Embedded within a cross-departmental team of safety professionals, you'll benefit from a wide network of supportive colleagues and ample opportunities for training and career progression.
