Research Assistant (Transforming Friendship Focused Support)

Fixed term contract - 1 year

Part time - 3.5 hours per week (2 days per month)

The opportunity:

You will support the ‘Transforming Friendship-Focussed Support for Care Experienced People through Co-Creation’ project team in all aspects of the project including: undertaking a literature review, supporting delivery of training for co-researchers, supporting community of practice meetings, supporting running of workshops to develop the framework and materials and disseminating findings and outputs, to co-create a framework for friendship support for care experienced people that will be rolled out nationally.

This post is open fixed term for 12 months from 1^st September 2024.

This post is advertised as guaranteed hours, for a minimum of 168 hours, and we are open to considering hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of off-campus and regular on-campus working.

Your skills and attributes for success:

• Degree in social work, sociology, psychology or other allied subject (Desirable).
• Experience of working collaboratively with experts by experience (Desirable).
• A proven ability to review and summarise academic literature.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing, to a range of different groups.
