Christ Church invites applications for a fixed-term Stipendiary Lecturership in Physical Chemistry.
This is a temporary, fixed-term position to fulfil a current teaching need arising from Professor Dirk Aarts’s sabbatical leave, therefore, the appointment carries with it no expectation of permanent employment at Christ Church.
The successful candidate will deliver six hours of tutorial teaching per week, averaged over the three eight-week terms of each academic year. Applicants should be able to teach Year groups 1, 2 and 3 in Physical Chemistry, which includes tutorials, vacation work, collection and revision classes. The lecturer will also be expected to coordinate, set and mark College termly exams (Collections), monitor student progress, and writing termly reports on students.
The post is offered on a fixed-term temporary basis with a salary of £15,244 - £16,983 (current rates) per annum, according to qualifications and experience.
Further particulars, including instructions about how to apply, may be downloaded from clicking the 'Apply' button above. The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday 15th July 2024.
Christ Church is committed to equality, and we value the diversity of our staff and students. It is our policy and practice that entry into employment and progression within employment will be determined only by criteria which are related to the duties of a particular post and the relevant salary scale.
