Location: Adams Building

This position is for a Wellbeing Mentor within the ESOL faculty at Nottingham College, therefore the successful candidate will have to be confident communicating with students who don't speak English as a first language. There are a considerable number of Looked After Children within this faculty, which means that good organisation and communication skills will be essential in navigating the colleges statutory requirement to ensure that all Personal Education Plans (PEPs) records are maintained regarding a young person’s educational progress and associated meetings are attended. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken) and be confident in dealing with emergency situations (e.g behaviour, mental health etc).

The successful candidate will also possess knowledge of safeguarding policies and processes coupled with experience of monitoring, evaluating, planning action and writing reports.

A Maths and English Level 2 qualification, or equivalent, and being able to work effectively unsupervised is essential.
