The Opportunity

The School of Allied Health Professions seeks to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated Radiographer to join a dedicated team of over 60 AHP academics. The successful applicant will mainly teach across the School’s pre-registration curricula, with particular focus on the BSc Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) programmes, including apprentice routes.

The BSc (Hons) Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) programme has been recognised by both employers and graduating students, as high quality; consistently in the top 5 in the United Kingdom in the National Student Survey. Enjoying excellent facilities, you will teach students in a bespoke Radiography Diagnostic Imaging Suite with state-of-the-art simulation facilities and bespoke digital health hub space for image interpretation.

The School also offers two apprenticeship radiography routes (level 5 and level 6) and are developing an evolving radiography postgraduate offer, working with the Imaging Academy Hub at the University Hospitals of North Midlands. The post offers exciting prospects for an individual wishing to develop their teaching skills and further their scholarship activities. It is also an excellent opportunity for colleagues working clinically who wish to gain academic experience. Shared posts with clinical working will be considered.

As an academic in the School, you will play a part in the development of educational and scholarship initiatives aligned with the School strategic direction. You will be an HCPC registered Radiographer (or equivalent), with an appreciation of the principles of teaching and learning in higher education.
