London South Bank University is excited to be recruiting for the post of Senior External Communications Officer to join its Marketing, Recruitment and Communications department.
The department is responsible for the University's student recruitment, its reputation, and external relationships. It works to help define and raise brand awareness of LSBU among target audiences while aiming to attract the best prospective students to the University. The team coordinates: media relations; internal communications; brand and visual identity; digital media; market research and insight; corporate and course marketing; events; and student recruitment.
The Senior External Communications Officer supports LSBU in raising its profile amongst key stakeholder groups and external audiences, whilst enhancing and protecting the institution’s reputation.
The role holder will act as a main point of contact for LSBU’s Press Office, secure positive national, regional, international, broadcast and online media coverage for the University and explore new channels through which the University can boost its reputation. They will plan and deliver corporate communications for LSBU that promote positive and relevant news externally and internally, including through social media.
