The Postgraduate Research Service is currently seeking to recruit an outstanding Administrator who will provide highly efficient, effective, high quality and professional support within the Postgraduate Research Service (PGR), primarily within the team supporting professional doctorates, including liaison with external NHS and education partners. The PGR Service offers support to applicants, students and academic colleagues from enquiry and admissions to completion of the degree.
We are looking for proactive, adaptable candidates with excellent attention to detail and proven organisational skills. The role offers a varied and interesting workload including interaction with a wide range of applicants, students, staff and external partners. You must have good communication skills and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification.
You must have a minimum of two A-levels at Grades A-E and five GCSEs at Grades A-C (including Mathematics and English) or equivalent qualifications and must be able to meet all essential criteria detailed in the candidate brochure.
This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term contract until May 2026, with a review in Spring 2025 to consider a further extension to the duration of the role.
PGR Service including the Professional Doctorates Team works a hybrid model. The Professional Doctorates Team's fixed on-Campus working days are Tuesday and Friday and the role holder will be expected to work at least one other flexible day on campus, based on their workload, attendance at in-person PGR Service meetings, training or events. It may also be possible for the candidate to work full-time on Campus and this can be discussed during interview.
